Honesty Is The Best Policy ?
While I was in school we used to have quizzes in class when there used to be just a few kids who had come to school. That day we had only about fifteen or twenty students in the class. Our teacher had been tired herself, so, she decided to take a quiz that day.
You know, quizzes are actually fun way to recollect what you have learnt and display your knowledge just so that you win the game.
So, the teacher divided us into groups, as per the rows such that row 1 became group 1, row 2 became group 2 and so on. I was in the first row I guess and used to get very excited in these quizzes. Since such quizzes lead to shouting and carcass in the classroom, so our teacher had set a "-1" point for the row which was heard shouting. And so, the game began!
It so happened that after about five or ten rounds, my row i.e. group 1 was seemingly the last in the number of points we had gained and had got a passed question to answer so that we gain an extra "+2" and could at least take the group to the third position. As the question was passed, one of my friends shout out the answer and then sat down quietly knowing that he had created indiscipline and would be responsible for the "-1" to the group. The teacher was busy explaining something to one of the students and hadn't noticed this but the students of the other group were no less. They asked for a "-1" to the group. The teacher was confused as to listen to the students or not. Then she decided to ask me if that was true what the students were saying.
This teacher had always trusted me in speaking the truth whenever asked. So, I was in a fit. Three things went through my mind. First, I should lie to her, how would she get to know and she does trust me a lot. Then I thought that if she does trust me a lot, I should not lose that trust, I should not lie to her. The last thing I recall thinking was I was counting upto three and whatever came to my mind I spoke that. I had never lied to anyone. Actually, I did not speak to so many people that I would lie instantly on getting a chance. So, the first word that came out of my mouth was,'Yes !'. Then I recall some of the students of the other group saying to the teacher,'See ma'am, we told the truth !'. The students of my group were in turn saying, as you can all guess, 'Why couldn't you lie ?'.
The teacher took a moment to think over the situation and then came up with an answer,'So, I give group 1 a "+1" because of his honesty !'. Woah ! That came to me as a surprise as well as a shock ! I do not remember anything more of that day. Yes, the students were blabbering about things, but I did not care. I had just got a reward for being honest !
That day I realized one thing. Whatever the situation is, no matter how hard you had worked for it, if you are honest about it, you will always get a reward. Sometimes, the reward is not given at the same moment, sometimes the reward takes its time to come to you, but you always get a reward. Since then, I whenever I encountered such a situation where I would get nothing by telling the truth, I remembered this happy memory of my life and spoke the truth, even if it took whatever I had worked for.

Hi There!
Hope you are doing great!
Thank you for taking a second to write down your thoughts on the stories that I write.
I would love your thoughts on how you felt while reading it.
I know for myself, that your kind words would inspire me to write more, and bring more such stories that you enjoy reading.
But, I also know that I would love it even more when I get a note which finds flaws, because I would take it as a challenge to improve in the next story that I write.
In any case, I consider myself to be honored to hear your thoughts while/after reading my blog!
Thank You!
